We live in the Hills area overlooking the city of Perth, the sunny capital of Western Australia, situated on the edge of the Indian Ocean. It is a wonderful environment for our Berners, with bush walks through the many hill trails, exploring round the edges of the fresh water dams, or socializing at the specially designated “Dog” beaches just 25 minutes drive away.
We have been involved with dogs of other breeds and a collection of other pets along the way for many years.

Our first Bernese was Aus CH.Sennen Abbi - ABBI was our Foundation Bitch, hence our Prefix Abbiberne. She was a very special girl, a very special friend, so much more than a Dog, an absolute Soul Mate.

At ABBIBERNE our aim is to breed for character, beauty and temperament. Our desire to achieve at the highest level, requires our total devotion to this special breed. We are not commercial breeders, our dogs are our companions. We plan our matings with careful research, honesty and integrity and always with the Breed's best interest at heart.

Our dogs are fed on a natural diet of raw meats and raw bones (mainly brisket bones). We use supplements such as fish oils, garlic, seaweed, mixed herbs and seek out organic vegetables when they are available.

This feeding regime has produced outstanding results, vitality, weight control and general condition being the most obvious. Because we enjoy showing our dogs, they must always look their best. Having taken four of our dogs to Australian Champion Title and two other of our pups owned by Show/Breeders that have been titled, we are sure our natural diet is helping us maintain the happy healthy disposition of our dogs.
